In the year 2062, a catastrophe sends the human race five miles below the surface...

The nations of the world have pooled their resources to create two 'Doomsday Vaults,' habitations deep within the earth to serve as resources of genetic material and human culture in case of a global catastrophe. As foreign and sovereign dignitaries tour the nearly-completed second vault, they are sent hurtling underground, locked into the vault five miles below the surface. With no warning, no way to contact the surface, and no way to know whether the worst has occurred, scientists and world leaders alike must survive within the vault, and search for the truth. 

It never hurts to be prepared.
